# Virtual Try-On

> Visualize garments on a subject in real time using Virtual Try-On (Lucy) in Creative Studio — billed per second, ideal for fashion and apparel creatives before final production.

**Virtual Try-On** runs a realtime session called **Lucy** that lets you visualize how a garment looks on a subject — without booking a photoshoot or commissioning a full image generation run. Dress a model in your product, evaluate fit and styling, and feed the results into your image or campaign pipeline.

<Note>
  Virtual Try-On is a specialized Creative Studio tool designed for garment visualization — not a substitute for general image generation. Use it specifically for fashion and apparel creative workflows.
</Note>

## How does Virtual Try-On work?

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open a VTON session">
    Add a Virtual Try-On node from the Studio toolbar to start a Lucy session. The session initializes and opens the realtime preview panel.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Upload your garment">
    Provide the garment asset — a product photo, flat lay, or packshot. Lucy segments the garment and prepares it for try-on.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select or upload a subject">
    Choose a subject from the model library or upload your own model photo. The subject's pose and proportions are preserved during try-on.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Visualize in realtime">
    Lucy composites the garment onto the subject in real time. Adjust garment position, scale, and styling as needed. The preview updates with each change.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Capture and export">
    Capture the try-on frame you want as a high-quality still. The output feeds directly into image nodes or campaign assets for further processing.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## How is Virtual Try-On billed?

Virtual Try-On is billed by **session time** — credits are metered **per second** for the duration of an active Lucy session.

| Billing detail     | Value                                                       |
| ------------------ | ----------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Meter**          | Per-second credit consumption                               |
| **When it starts** | When the session initializes |
| **When it stops** | When you close or pause the session |
| **Idle time** | Still billed — close the session when not actively using it |

<Warning>
  Credits continue to accrue while a Lucy session is open, even if you are not actively making changes. Close the session when you are done to stop metering.
</Warning>
