Before you can schedule or publish, you need at least one connected social account. Elaris uses OAuth for every platform — no passwords are stored.

How do I connect a social account?

Open Scheduler → Connections and follow these steps:
1

Choose a platform

Select from Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, or Snapchat.
2

Complete OAuth authorization

You’ll be redirected to the platform’s login and consent screens. Grant the permissions requested — these typically include publish, media read, and analytics access.
3

Select your account or page

Some platforms ask you to choose which page or profile to connect after OAuth completes. This applies to LinkedIn Company Pages, Facebook Pages, and Snapchat Business profiles.
4

Verify the connection

Return to Connections and confirm the account shows as Active. You’re ready to schedule.
If a scheduled post fails to publish, reconnect the account first. Platform tokens expire, and app permission updates can silently revoke access.

What permissions does each platform require?

Both platforms use the Meta OAuth flow. You’ll need to authorize:
  • Content publishing — post images, videos, and Reels
  • Pages read engagement — fetch performance metrics
  • Instagram Basic Display — profile access (Instagram only)
Connect a Facebook Page first if you want both Facebook and Instagram in a single OAuth session.

How do I fix a broken connection?

Click Reconnect on the connection card and re-authorize via OAuth. This refreshes the token without losing any scheduled posts in the queue.
The token may have silently expired. Disconnect the account, then reconnect it fresh. Check that all required permissions are re-granted on the platform’s consent screen.
Make sure you’re logged into the correct account on the platform before authorizing. For Facebook, the authorizing user must have Admin or Editor role on the Page.
